Graphics chip repair on the Dell XPS

The Dell XPS has either integrated graphics or a separate graphics chip, depending on the configuration. We confirm which graphics hardware your version has before quoting, because the repair differs.

What we do

We confirm the fault is the chip and not the screen or its cable. Then we remove the chip, clean the pads and refit it with new solder balls (reballing), or fit a new chip.

We also clean the cooling system and replace the thermal paste, because overheating is what caused the failure in the first place.

How long it takes. Graphics chip work takes longer than most repairs because we test under load afterwards. We give you a timescale with the quote.
